Shots of Yesterday

Since my mommy commented on my lack of posting pictures yesterday I thought I should probably make a point to get back here and post them today. So here goes:

I woke up to this... funny story how I happened to notice. Morpheus has this wonderful habit of going over to the sliding glass door and nudging the blinds to let us know he needs to go out. When he did this and the blinds parted I spotted something white outside. Lookie lookie...
While I was out with mom the sweet little babies got all spruced up. Daddy vacuumed and gave them both baths and even permitted them back on the couch... oh, I didn't tell you that story. Somebody had a little accident on the couch and so they were both on restriction for a few days, but they were given lenience after being soooo good for their baths.
By mid day the snow was gone and it warmed up a teensy bit but about 7:10 pm the hail started and kept coming. We must have ended up with an inch of hail. Sounds crazy right? See for yourself...
I saw this super cool tutorial on folding magazines to make wall art and decided to try it out while I was unwinding. It turned out REALLY cool, very colorful- but I had trouble getting it to stay on the wall. I've since learned that thumbtacks or staples will do the trick. I want to cover my wall in these things!!
And finally, before heading off to sleep lastnight I got a picture of my orchid in it's new home. Can you see it amongst all of my crafty things? I like it here because it's right in plain sight (for me anyway) and it's in the window, I can just open the blinds in the morning and give it some good indirect sunlight. If anyone knows anything about orchids I'm open to suggestions for keeping it alive. So far I know that it needs indirect light, and doesn't like to be too wet, only water once every 10 days or so...
So there you have it, my busy day all sumed up in photos : )) And here it is 10:30 again. I'm bushed. Have a good night all.

Getting Stuff Done

It has really been a day of getting stuff done. I feel like I've accomplished a few things here and there at least.

Started out with mom's appointments, then I got a fancy new shower head with the hand held shower head (it will be perfect for bathing the dogs). Got some groceries, picked up a couple things from Costco, got Leonard's hair cut. Oh and he vacuumed the floor and bathed the dogs while I was out with mom. Speaking of the dogs, the both got faces and butts trimmed (and so did mom's dog). I reconnected with some old friends from high school, took pictures of my little art project I worked on lastnight before bed, finished a scrapbook page and got lots done at the site. Mom and I picked up a couple Orchids from a lady who had posted them on Freecycle. She's got one and I have one, we're going to see who can keep them alive the longest. I was a busy girl today.

I intended to post this earlier because I wanted to post some pictures of our hail storm tonight, but I waited too long and I'm tired now. We got a couple inches of hail tonight. Yes, it's hail, not snow or frozen rain, it's hail. This happened last March, that was the first time I saw anything like it. Wierd!

Okay, I've got to hit the sack for now. I'm a tired pup. Wishing you all well.
